How Lightning Pay Wallet is different

Most Bitcoin wallets pick one trade-off: simple but custodial (Cash App, Strike), or sovereign but inconvenient (raw on-chain wallets, full nodes). Lightning Pay refuses the trade — a 5-minute install with Lightning, fiat off-ramps, a Visa card and tax reports, without ever taking custody of your coins.

Your seed, your coins

Your 12-word seed is generated on-device during onboarding and never leaves it. No server can sign for you, no recovery flow bypasses your seed. If you lose the seed and the device, the funds are gone — and that's the point. No third party can freeze, censor, or seize your balance.
